Client Referral Policy

What is it?

Richmond Capital frequently receives great referrals from our network and are appreciative to those who enable us to connect further with great businesses. As a token of our appreciation, we are pleased from the effective date of these terms and conditions to reward those who refer us (“Introducer”), new business contacts who are not already registered (or in the process of being registered) or in contact in any way with Richmond Capital (“Potential Client(s)”), providing we are then able to place candidates (“Potential Candidates”) with Potential Clients within the Referral Period and subject to the following terms and conditions.

In this policy document, outlining our “Referral Scheme”, the following definitions are used:

  • The “Referral Date” is considered the date the referral (as detailed below) was made of the relevant Potential Client to Richmond Capital.
  • The “Referral Period” is 24 months from the Referral Date.
  • The “Referral Bonus” is a choice of one of the following three options: 
    • £350 worth of gift vouchers at a retailer of your choice (subject to availability from certain retailers);
    • a discount of £350 (exclusive of VAT if applicable) in relation to the next invoice that Richmond Capital raises and provides to the Introducer (Richmond Capital Discount) subject to the Richmond Capital Discount being used by the Introducer within 12 calendar months from the Referral Confirmation Email; or
    • a donation of £350 to one of our nominated charities (or split between them should you choose).

The Introducer shall have one choice of the above following a Successful Placement (as detailed below). Once chosen, and at all times subject to Richmond Capitals’ approval and discretion, the Referral Bonus could be substituted should the Introducer request to do so.

  • The “Referral Confirmation Email” is an email sent from Richmond Capital to the Introducer confirming that a Referral Bonus is redeemable.

How does it work?

If you know any Potential Clients who you think would be in need of assistance with recruiting talent for their business or know someone who would be interested in discussing their options in the current market, please feel free to seek their consent and refer them to us. Alternatively, direct them to make contact with us and ensure they provide your name as a referee.

Referrals can be made via submission on our website, over LinkedIn, via email, on the phone, or through other communications as appropriate. For practicality and record keeping purposes, it is always preferred that referrals are received via email or  through the website. Once the referral is submitted, we make a note internally of the details of the Potential Client(s), the Introducer’s details and the Referral Date. 

If and when we place a Potential Candidate with any Potential Client and they then successfully complete 12 weeks at that Potential Candidate as the new employer within the Referral Period and such commission payable for the placement to Richmond Capital is £10,000 or more and payment is made to Richmond Capital in cleared funds for the relevant candidate by the Potential Client (“Successful Placement”), we will send you a Referral Confirmation Email to confirm you are eligible for a Referral Bonus from the choices listed above.

There is no cap on the number of referrals of Potential Clients that can be made. Referral Bonuses will only be paid for the first Successful Placement with each new Potential Client, in accordance with these terms and conditions. 

We encourage you to consider your social networks and external networks to evaluate if you have any Potential Client(s) to refer.

Conditions and who can be referred?

We have set conditions for Potential Clients who can qualify the Introducer for a Referral Bonus. The Potential Clients must:

  • Have not have previously received or submitted terms of business and/or engaged with Richmond Capital in any respect;
  • Be looking for and hiring permanent full-time employees or contract employees; and
  • They must have provided you with prior permission to share their contact details.

What will you get as a Referral Bonus and how much will you get?

Our standard Referral Bonus, in accordance with and subject to these terms and conditions, potentially allows you a choice of any of the three options stated above.

We will contact the Introducer after the Potential Candidate has successfully completed a Successful Placement with a Referral Confirmation Email so you can choose your Referral Bonus. Richmond Capital will endeavor to promptly provide the Referral Bonus you choose. Should we not be able to provide your preferred choice, we will ask you to confirm a suitable alternative choice. To confirm, only one (1) Referral Bonus shall be payable in relation to each new Potential Client referred and such Referral Bonus shall be paid on the first Successful Placement for the relevant Potential Client within the Referral Period.

We will also ask you at this point to confirm a postal address or an email address where we can send the Referral Bonus to. We will send you the Referral Bonus within 14 days of receiving confirmation of your address.

In the event that the Introducer chooses to receive the Richmond Capital Discount as their Referral Bonus such discount has to be used by the relevant Introducer within the following 12 calendar months from the date of the Referral Confirmation Email otherwise the Richmond Capital Discount shall be lost and no longer available for use.

Further Conditions and Exclusions

  • Richmond Capital reserves the right to amend this policy without notice or announcement from time to time so you should ensure that you keep up to date by visiting
  • All decisions made by Richmond Capital in evaluating eligibility are final.
  • No cash alternative to the vouchers are available, save where you have requested for payment to be made to one of or both of our charities. Our preferred charities (which may vary from time to time), at the date of this policy update are, Little Lifts or Le Cure.
  • If two or more Introducers refer the same Potential Client(s), only the first person who referred the Potential Client(s) within the 6 calendar months prior to the Successful Placement will have the chance to receive a Referral Bonus as determined by the Referral Date on record and provided that such a Potential Candidate goes on to complete a Successful Placement within the Referral Period.
  • Referral Bonuses will only be paid if Richmond Capital:
    • places a candidate with the relevant Potential Client within the Referral Period;
    • the relevant placement becomes a Successful Placement and is for a commission fee due to Richmond Capital from the Potential Client of £10,000 or more; and
    • where payment has been made in cleared funds to Richmond capital for the relevant placement
  •  If the referred candidate leaves the Potential Client within and including their 12th week no Referral Bonus will be applicable. The Potential Candidate has to successfully complete a 12 week window and remain employed for the start of their 13th week for the Introducer to qualify for a Referral Bonus
