I am planning a move to the UK from Australia but I am finding it really hard to get any traction with applications. What do you recommend?

Getting your first role in the UK can be tough as many companies want UK experience. 

We would recommend:

▪️ Trying to transfer via your current Employer.  

▪️ Connect with Headhunters in the space ahead of your move and again when you land. They will know off the market opportunities.

▪️ Use your Antipodean network to see if anyone knows of a great opportunity; who you know can help.

▪️ Join UK Property networks when you arrive. 

▪️ Apply to companies of interest directly through roles advertised and directly via email. They might be more open to taking a risk on you if they don’t have to pay recruiter fees.

▪️ Bear in mind you will be likely taking a paycut to move to the UK as salaries are lower.

▪️ Be open minded and resilient.
