An opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute Real Estate Project Manager to join a leading independent property and Construction Consultancy, supporting the delivery of Major UK Infrastructure programmes. This role offers exposure to complex, nationally significant Rail Projects, combining project management, commercial oversight, and project controls within a highly respected consultancy environment. With a strong presence across London and Birmingham, the position provides both responsibility and long-term professional progression. It is well suited to a driven professional seeking to deepen their impact within large-scale infrastructure delivery.
What you’ll do
You will provide structured project management and project controls leadership across upgrade works on a Major Rail Corridor, ensuring programme, cost, and risk parameters are clearly defined and effectively managed. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will integrate technical, commercial, and delivery inputs into robust project schedules and control frameworks.
You will produce clear, concise reporting on progress, cost performance, risk, and change, supporting informed decision-making and strong commercial governance. The role will involve close liaison with client, engineering, and contractor teams to maintain alignment and resolve issues efficiently.
Maintaining accurate and compliant project documentation, you will support best practice governance while sustaining a visible on-site presence around a key transport hub, alongside flexible engagement across London and Birmingham.

What you’ll need
- Must have UK-based consultancy experience within the Built Environment
- Proven background in Project Management, Project Controls, or commercial delivery on Rail or Major Infrastructure schemes
- Strong understanding of programme management, scheduling, cost control, and risk management frameworks
- Experience on linear infrastructure or station upgrade projects
- Ability to analyse project data, identify trends, and advise on corrective actions
- Confident communicator with experience engaging multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders
- Highly organised, detail-oriented approach to project governance
- Professional accreditation or progress toward APM, PMO, MRICS, or similar is advantageous
